Ryder Honored as 'Outstanding Integrated Logistics Service Provider' in China

Ryder System, Inc. (NYSE: R), a global leader in supply chain, warehousing and transportation management solutions, today announced it was honored with the award for "Outstanding Integrated Logistics Service Provider in China" given by China Modern Logistics News with the support of the China Federation of Logistics and Procurement. The award was presented to Ryder during the Second International Logistics and Supply Chain Development Summit held recently in Suzhou, China.

According to summit organizers, Ryder was recognized for leveraging its leading global technology and expertise and setting a strong example for integrated logistics companies in China. The award will help to showcase China's logistics achievements on the world stage and push the industry to a higher level, said the Summit Committee.

Alice Yu, Ryder's Director of Business Development in China, also was honored with the "Women Logistics Elite" award for contributing a combination of global expertise and local market knowledge and helping to bring advanced logistics concepts and practices to China.

"Suzhou is a vital city with a vibrant tradition as a transportation hub," said Chris Woodward, Vice President and Managing Director of China for Ryder. "Ryder is honored to be a part of the area's growing logistics sector."

The Second International Logistics and Supply Chain Development Summit is a major logistics and supply chain management conference held annually in China by China Modern Logistics News, the trade publication of the China Federation of Logistics and Procurement, which is the exclusive Central Government-level logistics association in China. The event provides an open platform for Chinese and foreign companies to present their technologies and services to collaborate and innovate in logistics, procurement and supply chain management.
