chain solutions, presented its Service Excellence Awards to
top-performing carriers at its seventh annual Mexican Carrier
Recognition Event at the Hotel Westin Santa Fe in Mexico City. Twenty
Mexican trucking companies were recognized for their excellence in
several key performance areas, such as safety and security, on-time
performance, customer service, and continuous improvement for the last
full calendar year.

“The support we receive from our Mexican carriers has a direct impact on
our ability to deliver on the promises to our customers in the United
States,” said Gene Sevilla, Vice President of Ryder International Supply
Chain Solutions. “Ryder’s operations in Mexico have become fundamental
to the growth of our global Supply Chain Solutions business, and that
success wouldn’t be possible without a reliable and high quality group
of Mexican carrier companies. Our Mexican carrier partners are
responsible for some of the most complex elements of our supply chain
solutions. Our annual Mexican Carrier Awards allows us to recognize them
for going above and beyond to ensure that goods are moved in a safe,
timely, and efficient manner.”
Ryder works with a wide range of carrier companies in Mexico. The
carrier companies were evaluated according to four major criteria:
safety, overall capabilities, financial billing with Ryder, and
participation in Ryder accounts. For the 2016 period, twenty winners
were chosen from among a pool of eligible Mexican carrier companies. The
